OFFICIAL RULES
1. No Purchase Necessary
No purchase, payment, real estate transaction, or other consideration is necessary to enter or win. Doing business with Ray Fernandez or NextMove Real Estate does not increase an entrant's chances of winning.
2. Eligibility
Open only to legal residents of Orange County or Los Angeles County, California who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
3. Ineligible Participants
Real estate industry professionals are not eligible to enter, including real estate brokers, salespersons/REALTORS®, mortgage brokers, loan officers, appraisers, escrow officers, title representatives, and employees or independent contractors of real estate brokerages, mortgage companies, escrow companies, title companies, or appraisal companies. Employees, agents, and independent contractors of NextMove Real Estate, along with immediate family members of Ray Fernandez and NextMove personnel, are also ineligible.
4. One Entry Per Person
Each person may submit only one entry. If multiple entries are submitted by the same person, only the first valid entry will be accepted.
5. Entry Requirements
Entrants must complete the official Race to 500 entry form and provide a valid first and last name, email address, phone number, and one guess for the exact calendar date on which transaction #500 will close. Entries containing false, incomplete, or invalid information may be disqualified.
6. Guesses Are Final
Once submitted, a guess is final and may not be changed, replaced, or updated.
7. Entry Deadline
Entries will be accepted until Ray officially closes transaction #497. No entries will be accepted after transaction #497 has closed. The recorded submission timestamp will determine whether an entry was received before the deadline.
8. Official Closing Date
For purposes of this contest, the “Closing Date” is the date escrow confirms the transaction has closed and title has transferred and/or recorded for Ray's 500th completed real estate transaction.
9. Exact-Date Winner
Any eligible entrant who correctly guesses the exact Closing Date of transaction #500 will share in the $5,000 grand prize. If more than one eligible entrant correctly guesses the date, the $5,000 prize will be divided equally among all eligible correct entrants.
10. If Nobody Guesses the Exact Date
If no eligible entrant correctly guesses the exact Closing Date, the eligible entrant whose guess is closest in calendar days to the actual Closing Date will receive $1,000. If two or more eligible entrants are equally close, the $1,000 prize will be divided equally among them.
11. Winner Verification
Potential winners must verify identity, age, residency, and eligibility and must respond to winner notification within 7 days. Failure to respond or provide requested verification may result in disqualification.
12. Taxes
Winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes. Winners may be required to provide taxpayer information before receiving a prize and may receive an applicable IRS information form, including Form 1099-MISC, when required by law.
13. Invalid or Fraudulent Entries
NextMove Real Estate reserves the right to disqualify duplicate, automated, fraudulent, manipulated, or otherwise invalid entries, or any entrant who attempts to interfere with the fair administration of the contest.
14. Social Media Disclaimer
This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Meta, or any other social media platform used to promote the contest.
15. Sponsor & General Conditions
The contest is sponsored by NextMove Real Estate. Sponsor decisions regarding eligibility, the official Closing Date, and prize determination are final, subject to applicable law. Sponsor may suspend, modify, or cancel the contest if circumstances outside its reasonable control prevent the contest from being conducted fairly. Void where prohibited by law.
